T.J. Hooker

About

T.J. Hooker is an American television police drama series about Sergeant Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Hooker (William Shatner). Prior to the show’s pilot episode, Hooker was a plainclothes LCPD (Los Angeles County Police Department) detective sergeant whose partner was killed trying to stop a bank robbery. Motivated to rid the streets of criminals, Hooker gives up his detective position to return to duty as a uniformed patrol officer. Assigned to the Academy Precinct of the LCPD police department, Hooker teaches rookies – like his new partner, Officer Vince Romano (Adrian Zmed) – what it takes to be effective in eliminating crime from the mean streets of Los Angeles County. Hooker is often assisted by his friend, Officer Jim Corrigan (James Darren) and his partner Officer Stacy Sheridan (Heather Locklear).
